About AVTEN Membership
A member is defined as an individual or organization that has registered with the Association in line with association’s prescribed procedures for membership. The organizational membership shall compose of four member groups namely, students, professional fellows, associates and honorary fellows.
Members of the Association shall be persons interested in and/or engaged in activities related to technical, vocational education and training. Such members shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of the Association without restrictions.
Student members of the Association shall be persons interested in vocational education and training and registered as full or part-time students. Such members shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of the Association without restrictions.
Institutional membership shall be restricted to organizations engaged in vocational and technical education and training pursuits in Nigeria. Each institutional member shall have the right to one individual membership as representative.
Affiliate memberships are offered to those organizations engaged in vocational and technical education and training who subscribe to the purposes of the Association. Affiliate memberships are recommended by their respective state organizations and approved by the Executive Committee on an annual basis. Affiliate members are expected to present an annual report of activities of interest to the Association. Reciprocal rights and privileges shall be extended between states and affiliate member organizations.
The annual membership period for new members shall commence on the first day of the month after payment has been received by the treasurer and it lasts for 12 months.
Membership Dues
Annual membership dues shall be set in Nigeria Currency (Naira) and the dues held in an account approved by the Executive Committee.
The following dues are approved by AVTEN EXCO.
- Conference Fees:
a. Registered members – N15,000
b. Non registered members – N17,000 - Membership – N7,000
- Annual dues (old and new members) – N2,000
- Vetting fees per paper – N4,000
- Compulsory AVTEN Journal – N2,000
- Student membership (non-working,
Show ID card) – N3,000 - Foreign participant s150
These dues are subject to review by AVTEN EXCO, from time to time as the needs arise.
